Everything’s coming along nicely for the re-opening in Gold Hill. Last week end we trimmed trees & bushes of what seemed to be the whole village of Gold Hill! Seriously there was a pile of limbs as big as 2 school busses parked beside each other! This will be used for one of the bonfires for the Fall Fires Lighting ceremony in November….more about that a little later on.
This week end we’ll be cleaning and beginning work on a storage closet and perhaps the back porch. This is the South….every place has to have a back porch….right??
Hopefully, we will be ready to open on Founder’s Day, September 22nd. I was planning to do an Autumn Open House….but it’s getting so late, I’ve decided to just do a Christmas Open House and will announce that date a little later on. Founder’s Day is a spectacular event that extends from the Park through the village of Gold Hill. So many things going on…beginning with an old town parade, Bluegrass & Country Gospel music, food, craft & antique vendors, Civil War encampment & reenactments….it’s really a day full of fun and entertainment. Come check it out and stop by Primitive Souls and say hello!
